This page is the short version of what you can hold this service to. Four commitments, and an honest line about where they stop.
No voicemail, no office hours
Call at three in the morning on a holiday and the line is answered. That is the point of a 24-hour number rather than an answering machine that promises Monday.
You are never billed for this service
This service is free to the homeowner. You are never invoiced by this site — the only money that changes hands is between you and the contractor you hire.
Local, and licensed for the work
The connection goes to a licensed, insured independent contractor working in the Brandywine area rather than to a call centre two states away. Confirm the license and the insurance yourself before anyone starts — it is your right and your responsibility.
You can ask to be connected to someone else
A contractor who misses the appointment or rubs you the wrong way is a reason to call back, not to give up. Ask for a different one; it costs nothing and nobody will argue.
The honest limit of all of this
None of the above is a warranty on anyone’s workmanship. The contractors are independent businesses, not employees of this site, and the work you agree with one of them is a contract between you and that contractor — its quality, its price, its schedule and its guarantee are theirs to give and yours to hold them to.
